Kirsten Blakemore: The Courage to Lead Authentically

Reclaiming Voice, Redefining Success, and Creating a Healthier Way to Lead

In a world where success is often measured by productivity, perfection, and performance, Kirsten Blakemore is helping people reconnect with something far more meaningful: themselves.

A leadership coach, speaker, and author, Kirsten has spent more than two decades guiding women, executives, and emerging leaders through the deeply transformative process of reclaiming their voice, redefining success, and leading from a place of authenticity rather than exhaustion. Her work is not rooted in corporate theory alone. It is built on lived experience, emotional honesty, and the belief that healthy leadership begins within.

But Kirsten’s journey toward becoming a respected voice in leadership and personal transformation did not begin from a place of certainty. It began with reinvention.

After navigating an unhealthy marriage, workplace inequity, and the quiet burnout so many high-achieving women silently carry, Kirsten reached a turning point. She realized she had spent years abandoning herself in order to meet the expectations of others. That realization became the catalyst for profound personal change and eventually the foundation of the work she now brings into coaching conversations, organizations, workshops, and her writing.

Today, Kirsten is known for creating spaces where people feel safe enough to tell the truth about their lives and courageous enough to change them. Her approach is grounded, compassionate, and deeply human. Rather than encouraging people to simply “push harder,” she invites them to pause, reflect, and rebuild their lives in ways that feel aligned, sustainable, and healthy.

At the heart of her philosophy is the belief that leadership is not simply about achievement or authority. True leadership, according to Kirsten, is rooted in self-awareness, emotional well-being, aligned values, and the courage to make conscious choices even when those choices challenge expectations.

She is also a passionate advocate for holistic well-being and openly speaks about the impact chronic stress has on mental, emotional, and physical health. Through years of coaching and personal experience, Kirsten has witnessed how prolonged stress can manifest as burnout, migraines, autoimmune conditions, exhaustion, infertility, and other serious health challenges. In a culture where survival mode has become normalized, she encourages people to stop disconnecting from themselves and begin creating healthier ways of living and leading.

Her message resonates because it is both practical and deeply personal. Kirsten does not speak from perfection. She speaks from experience, growth, and truth.

Alongside her coaching and speaking work, Kirsten is also the author of several self-empowerment books, including Unleash Your Power. Her insights and expertise have been featured in publications such as Forbes, Inc., IOC McClean/Harvard Medical Review, and LinkedIn. Her LinkedIn Learning course, Best Practices for New People Leaders, has reached more than 60,000 learners worldwide, further expanding her impact across industries and communities.

Kirsten holds a Master’s degree in Psychology, an undergraduate degree in Business, and is an ICF Master Certified Coach (MCC) as well as a certified health and wellness coach. Yet beyond the credentials and accomplishments, what continues to resonate most with audiences is her authenticity, vulnerability, and ability to blend deep insight with humanity.

In every conversation, workshop, and piece of writing, Kirsten Blakemore reminds people that they do not have to keep shrinking themselves to fit into expectations that no longer serve them.

Instead, she challenges them to lead with honesty, live with intention, and create lives that genuinely reflect who they are.
